This is the best facility I have ever been to. They took care of my husband. Very good. The nurses, the therapy did an amazing job. The discharge process with the Social services was amazing. I really appreciated Social services Mimi for bringing home health liaison so I can meet with him and know the services prior my husband discharge. I just want to say God bless you all and thank you all for everything guys have done for my husband and you guys are the best facility.
Paradise valley has been the best facility for rehab. All staff are skilled and educated. Everyone been supportive for my recovery. Very positive experience I’ve been always coming back here its my 4th time now. Social Services department are amazing and always there for the residents and family support. Maryam has been so supportive during my stay. Thank you paradise If you want your loved one to be in good hands bring them to PARADISE VALLEY HEALTHCARE CENTER.
My experience in Paradise Valley Health Center was bittersweet . On one hand the wonderful staff that took care of me : Cna’s ( karina), physical Terapy ( Rick , Brenda ) occupational Terapy, the wound nurse Jill etc. ) they Rock ! I spend 45 days in recovery and was a great experience. Thank you to them for taking care of the patients 100 % The bitter part is with SOCIAL SERVICES they suppose to be the ones that can get you the referrals to the specialist that you need to see will you are there , in my case an orthopedist…the request to get me that referral for my 2nd opinion was made the very first day i was admitted and never happened in 45 days. 30 days went by and social services did nothing, then I went trough a different channel, the Head Nurse office of PVHC Mrs. Winnie Phan and she then put some pressure on the SS department, but at the end never happened. The communication with the patients from the social services manager Maryam is awful, she makes promises that is not able to keep, and at the end of the day, my need for a second opinion on my leg’s fracture never happened. I hope that no other patient has to go through this, like me. I sent 2 Email to Mrs. Winnie to let her know about my complaint, but never got an answer, that’s why I decided to go public in here.
I want thank the Paradise Valley Health Center for taking care of my Dad. He spent two months at the facility on the 3rd floor. The Nurses, PTs and all the other staff showed my Dad much love and care. I was there everyday during my Dad’s duration and saw the love and care first hand. Esperanza, Elaine, Salina, Jeff, Eddie, Jorene, Emily, Clarissa, Lori, Jill, Mila, Maryam and all the others names I missed. Thank you to you all. ❤️

The attention at Paradise Valley is very affectionate and generous towards the residents. The daily activities and events they host keep the patients happy and make the families feel cared for. Eli, Andrea, Geraldine, Johanna, and Maira make a wonderful team and are always attentive while making moments special to the residents. The enthusiasm of the director Eli is really admirable and her happiness is contagious. We appreciate the loving care they give for our family.

I will update this review as needed. I just put my uncle there and so far it hasn’t quite met my expectations. 3 people in a room so their visitors and TVs make it extremely hard to hear the tv. They are smaller and far away from the bed for their size. Rooms are drab. My uncle is the middle bed so no windows or anything to look at. The salad that came with dinner appeared to be wilted and wasn’t appealing. Lunch today looked good. The people working are super nice but it’s hard to get to talk to social services about the plan. I understand this is day 2 but I fly out tomorrow and would have appreciated a few minutes of time. Update my uncle was moved to a quieter room and they took great care of him. They also called me often with updates on how he was doing and they even told me when he began to decline to come quickly to see him. Super nice people. They did the best they could with a man who had many health issues.

Do NOT get fooled by peoples negative reviews. They not only worry about keeping the patients comfortable but they even make sure that every one has the post-care they need.THANK YOU ALL AND GODSPEED!!!

At Paradise Valley Manor and Health Care Center, you’ll find a group of individuals that truly care and take the time to meet your specific needs. During our dad’s 2-month stay in the skilled nursing facility, the staff was supportive and helpful. We would like to express our gratitude to the entire activities department led by the enthusiastic Ellie. Her energy and positive attitude brought a smile to our dad’s face. She made him feel comfortable and included, even singing and dancing with him at times. Special shout-outs to Ellie, Fatima, Andrea, Johanna, Mayra and Michelle. The enjoyable events were always so beautifully decorated. The team works together to create a warm and welcoming environment. Thank you for making a difference, Paradise Valley Manor and Health Care Center Staff! Your dedication, hard work, and kindness go a long way.

I have been there many times when transferred there from the hospital. The staff have been very friendly and attentive. The food could be better. It’s palatable. Gordon Ramsay would probably tell them to put up their pots and pans and tell them to throw their aprons in the trash and to back away from the stove They have a community website but there’s only two people as a member and I’m one of them. I enjoy coming here wonderful staff and people get treated very nice here

This place is the best rehab in san diego county, my wife and I just admire how much they care for their patients, they seem to like helping even the patients that don’t think they belong here. Please bring your family here if you need patient care or rehab, call Mr. Joseph, he’ll gladly help you get here. A special thank you to the 1st floor staff, they look out for all the patients in their care, especially Ms. Lolita Salas, she really helped my wife but the whole staff cares for all, please bring your family needs here, you won’t regret your decision!!

Fatima Is wonderful with all the activities She gets everyone involved. She’s always positive, even under stress. She makes everyone feel welcomed. Some places post an activity calendar and you’re lucky if they follow through on half of them. That’s not the case here. Everything they post they do. I look forward to seeing her everyday! Fatima is extremely good at her job and more🙂

I want to thank God and Paradise Valley Manor for allowing me to lead worship services, read God’s Word, and pray for the sick. I also want to thank the team of women who work in the activity room. They always welcome me with such kindness and joy. I love hearing them say, “The church is here.” Thank you so much. God bless you all.

I was there for a couple of weeks, I thought the Nurses and Staff were great. If I needed anything they were always there to help. Also I would like to Thank the Activity’s Department for all their efforts to help make the residents feel better, and always make the residents feel important and encouraged them to want to feel and get better.

⚠️ DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE IF THEY ARE SERIOUSLY ILL ⚠️ This facility is NOT equipped to properly care for patients who need medical attention or close monitoring. My father had open-heart surgery, a catheter, diabetes, and was very weak — and this place has done absolutely nothing good for him. It’s three patients to a room, cramped, and completely lacking compassion. Most of the nurses don’t seem to care. My mother repeatedly asked when the doctor would see my father, and for eight days, no doctor ever came. When one finally did, he said he hadn’t been told anything about my father’s condition — not that he wasn’t eating, not that his chest hurt, nothing. That means the staff never communicated his situation at all. From day one, it was clear no one read his chart. Nurses even asked why he had gauze on his chest — they didn’t know he had open-heart surgery! They also didn’t realize he was diabetic until my mom asked if they would be checking his blood sugar. When they finally did, they refused to give insulin unless his sugar was over 250. They didn’t even acknowledge that he had a catheter. His prescribed pain cream mysteriously went missing. During his entire 8-day stay, he only received physical therapy once. He hasn’t been eating much because the food is either over-seasoned or unappetizing, and when he tried to eat slowly, they would take his tray away before he could finish. I’ve called the administrator, social worker, and nurses’ station multiple times — no one answers. I’ve left voicemails demanding a call back and received nothing. There’s no email contact on their website, which makes it even harder to get help or escalate concerns. At this point, I’m seriously considering contacting the ombudsman or the county to investigate this facility. There is no way they deserve the high ratings they display online with the kind of neglect my father has experienced. His health has deteriorated since arriving here — and it feels like they are slowly killing him through sheer neglect. Families, please do your research before sending your loved one here. This manor is only appropriate for people who can fully care for themselves — not for anyone who needs real medical attention or compassion
